What's that rock?

As a rockhounder, I'm always looking for ways to make my hobby easier and more fun, especially when I don't have a full Mohs Hardness Test Kit available. That's why I really enjoy the Rock Identifier: Stone ID app, which Pocket-lint's Chris Hachey recommends for beginners or anyone curious about the rocks and crystals they come across. Just by using your phone, you can identify what you find, learn about its value, and add it to your digital collection. Super handy for exploring the geology around you.

Ahead of the iPhone 16 launch later this year, Google needs to show it has made substantive upgrades to the Pixel line. If you're an Android fan, are you excited for tomorrow? And what device are you most looking forward to learning more about?

Do you prefer to buy your games physically or digitally?

Buying games used to be an event. You'd need to save up or wait for your parents to agree to buy one, and then get dragged along on five other errands before you could get back home to start playing. We've already gone from cartridges to discs, but now games are primarily sold digitally. PC gamers have been primarily downloading games for decades, but it's only been since the 360 and PS3 days that downloading full games on a console was even possible. What started as a novelty has now turned into the primary way games are sold and bought. The upsides to digital games are obvious—you can download and play them without having to leave your home, they don't take up space, and you can't lose or damage them. However, there has been a big pushback against this all-digital future for games. Preservation and ownership issues are chief
