In case you missed the "Why DCI section" you really need to understand that our customer base and the market that we service requires that we provide more than just a mass produced, high-volume marketed computer. We truly do the whole job. To summarize in the least amount of words we can - The prices below and system we sell include; delivery and setup of course! - Plus installation of all your software and peripherals, transfer of any data you may need moved from one other computer, a comprehensive but clean and organized software setup  Local Fast Support and thus we are not in the high volume market.  We need to provide fast blah blah   meticulous efficient setup to Your liking!   onsite service,  backup, instruction to your level. So if or when you need support you have a local source that is familiar with your entire setup - hardware, software setup and peripherals and actually assembled the computer so we are much more capable of fixing whatever problem you run into. Also you are dealing with technicians that each have over 19 years of full time and very broad range experience which is a lot different than dealing with a company that may have been around for 20+ years, but the person you have to talk to for support is always different and often just hired, has trouble with English and lives in India (as Dell often does).

We do not charge much if anything extra for these services, our computers cost more than a mass produced and often cut down system because it simply costs more to independently assembly a quality computer based on top rated components which are each purchased separately, hand assembled and tested.  We include the above services not at much added cost but as a way to compensate for the higher cost and because we find that most computer users problems and frustrations stem from the fact that they purchased the computer like it were a typical appliance and the lack of a proper initial setup, backup etc is the reason they were less than thrilled with their last computer and probably the reason they are considering purchasing a computer from us. We also go the extra mile because we feel it is needed in order for the buyer to really like their computer.  If you need us to lower our price to make the sale and possibly acquire your business we may be able to do so, but we probably would want to cut back on some of the added services mentioned above.

First a few words about the choices we offer;  We currently offer two main platforms; (all are Industry standard footprint computers based on award winning name brand components and use Intel CPU's and Intel chipsets.

Your browser's status bar (assuming it is turned on under view status bar) and the last row of the worksheet below show your current configuration total.  The colors in the table have a meaning like green rows are on items we do not recommend.  Clicking the reset button will reset all five columns back to their default/initial settings in about 6+ seconds depending upon the speed of the computer you are using.  Some of the advantages this worksheet provides are that you can easily compare multiple system prices and configure most systems we offer in one place. The specifications are abbreviated in the work-sheet below and so requires a good bit of technical understanding for some one to be able to properly use/pick components. As many people want a certain type of monitor we are only including the cost of a monitor in a few of the sample quotes. You can easily add a monitor we offer or one you get yourself to the prices below. Also we are pushing combo CD-RW/DVD drives instead of just CD-RW as more people are buying DVD Writers DVD Media is being used more to share data and we believe you may regret not being able to read DVD media if you go without such a drive.

The above components and thus the price is based upon our recommended top quality components. However these days it seems few if any of our competitors offer such quality components, nor do they do your full setup.  We too can cut costs if you desire. By using components similar to their offerings we can cut up to $450 off the above quote. The components and service that we would have to substitute/curtail include; A less expandable motherboard (saves $70) which integrates the video card (saving another $60) on the board and has less expansion slots. A smaller medium tower case saves $20. Low end speakers can save $35, Lesser quality/brand CD-RW drive saves another $50, Windows Home edition saves $30  which comes to a $265 discount.  If you want only a one year on-site warranty as some of their systems include deduct another $70 for a total discount of $335. If you do not need us to setup all your software and transfer data from another computer or keep a backup of your software setup deduct another $90, plus we shave off another $25 to bring you to our maximum discount of $450.  And this system still includes an RJ45 LAN jack, and typically a faster CPU (512K cache version and Intel brand) and faster RAM (DDR 333 Mhz) than their low end systems typically include. Plus we still provide faster support, fast direct access to the local technician you want to reach and that is familiar with your whole setup, delivery, added training, cleaner more user friendly software setup, and much more - please see the Why DCI section of this Web site for full details.

New Customers - If asked we would deduct $100 or so off our regular systems without cutting any of our offerings in order to secure new customers and the referrals/repeat business we plan to achieve by impressing you with a great computer and great support!
