It wasn't until I got my hands on Apple's Vision Pro that I felt it was finally time to really watch a full movie or TV show in virtual reality. I've tried before in the past with devices like the Gear VR and even with the Quest 3 and it's excellent Netflix app, but the dreaded screen door pixelated effect always made me give up after just a few minutes. Comfort has also always been an issue for me with VR, both regarding the actual headset and the motion sickness I often feel in the virtual reality space. Thanks to the pricey Vision Pro's impressive 3660 x 3200 pixel resolution display, this is no longer an issue. Of course, given the Vision Pro's price tag, a lot of people likely won't have the opportunity to take its fidelity for a spin. Nearly four years into the life of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, does it feel like Sony and Microsoft don't have a lot to show? After the success of the PS4 and Xbox One, the ninth console generation arrived with a lot of hype. People were ready for new hardware and wanted to see what seasoned developers like Naughty Dog and Sony Santa Monica Studio would do with even more processing power at their fingertips. Unfortunately, it feels like the truly great and must-play exclusives have been few and far between, and with Sony bringing more and more of its games to PC, neither the PS5 nor Xbox Series X feel essential.
